OCT Catchup
Gee, been awhile.
Let's get started......
Went on an awesome road trip just me and the car. Got of of work on a Friday Aug 28th? morning and as it turns out was my last shift as a Reactor Operator, More to follow on that. Anyway. Got home, took a shower and got on the road to NJ. Arrived at My sister-in-law's house about 530pm. Was a good ride some heavy rain at times, got a little tired about 130pm but was ok. Went out that night for awhile was back and in bed by 10pm and asleep by 1002pm. Veged out Sat and then went to My Mother and Father in Law's for dinner then over to Patrick and Nicole's afterward. Sunday got up and got the 730 ferry from Cape May. Realized I hadnt rode the ferry since 1987. Wow. Then drove down thru the Chesapeak Bay Bridge tunnel and decided to stop in Florence SC. Had a crappy dinner but thats ok. I could have continued to Daniel and Sammi's but wouldnt have gotten there till about 1030pm. Got up, to some rain the next morning and stopped at the welcome center in Florida for lunch and drove on to Daniel and Sammi's. Had a great visit. Went out to dinner, hungout the next day then went down to St Augustine to see everyone. Great time....
Went back to Jacksonville and was on the road the next morning by 8am. Wednesday morning, in some major rain got a phone call from the boss, I got the supervisor's job at work, Yippee! School for me 2 days after I get back.
Got into Ashville about 4pm. Saw where Matthew works then we went to eat. I had a great time just chilling with him. He had to work the next day but Amanda came by and when he got home we went out and then to church that night. Got to see Pastor James and Nicole again and the girls. I do like his church, the people come up to say hi and get to know you.
On the road again the next morning as Matt is leaving for work, drove thru 2 new states I had never been in and got to Sharon and Mark's house about 4pm. We went to a King Richard's Type fair the next day. All in all great time. Was on the road the next morning by 745am and made the decision to drive straight thru. Was only 12.5 hours so that wasnt bad.
So the total was, 17 states, 9 days, 9 tunnels, 7 books on CD, 3156 miles. WHAT A GREAT TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Started school Sept 8th. Good mix of personalities. Can you believe I am the oldest one?!!!! By 2 months.
Went to the Plymouth Ghost walk on my birthday with Dayle and one of her cousin on her Father's side, Dottie. It was great just the three of us and a little rainy. We might have smelled something but didnt see anything and nobody pulled my hair, phew!.
ROAD RALLY!!!!!!!!!!!
Dayle got a team together to do the road rally and even though they went Parrotheads they did pretty good. It was a great course, the rain held off long enough for people to have a good time. They all loved the sweatshirts I made for prizes and the crew. We went back to show Kathy the 9-11 Memorial in Tewksbury and Fox News was there filming because the firefighters there want to bring a piece of the World Trade Center to the Memorial. So they got our views and all of us were on Fox News that night.
The road rally was a great success. Now it is back to school. Things will get better. We are done with the fundamentals stuff and will be starting systems on Tuesday. I dont get out of the annual requal this year afterall. Least there is no written test.
Kitty Cats are doing fine. They like me home every night I think. John likes having dinner every night that he doesnt have to cook for himself or order out.
Thats about it.....
father, wake up..........
